Grocery Outlet brings grocery shopping back to Arlington

The ribbon-cutting is scheduled for 10 am on Thursday (Nov 19) at the new Grocery Outlet store on 123 E Burke in Arlington — The grand opening is scheduled for Saturday (Nov 21) and it will include free groceries, frozen Turkey give-aways, and gift card offers.

The Arlington Grocery Outlet’s hours will be from 8 am to 8 pm.

Arlington was in a bit of a pickle last year when Haggen’s and Food Pavilion closed, leaving customers no choice but to travel to Smokey Point or Marysville to do their food shopping — With economics such as they are and money tight, the opening of the Grocery Outlet provides some welcome relief — Michael and Melonique Simpson, co-owners of the Grocery Outlet have lived here their entire lives, and are excited to bring affordable grocery shopping, plus about 40 new jobs, back to Arlington.
