Suspect in deadly Bothell shooting now in Custody

A man suspected of shooting a 36 year-old male outside a residence at the 10 block of 198th Pl SE yesterday was taken into custody just before midnight. The homicide suspect is a 22 year-old Seattle man. His vehicle was impounded and take into evidence. Detectives are still trying to determine what the motive was for the shooting, but several witness statements stated that the interaction between the suspect and victim was possibly drug-related.

The road at 198th Pl SE from Filbert remains closed for the investigation.

Previously Snohomish County Sheriff’s detectives are investigating a homicide at the 10 block of 198th Pl SE. The victim, a 36 year-old male, was shot outside a residence by an unknown assailant. Attempts to revive the victim were unsuccessful and the victim was pronounced dead at the scene. Detectives are interviewing several witnesses, but a suspect has yet to be positively identified.

A call came in to 911 that a suspicious vehicle was parked in the neighborhood just before 3 p.m. A few minutes after 3 p.m., a second call came it to 911 that the victim had been shot.

The street at 198th Pl SE, a dead-end road, will be closed for several hours.
